A Monumental Message: Chadraabal Adiyabazar’s Art for a Sustainable World

Updated: Oct 15, 2023

In the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, stands a remarkable bronze sculpture, "TENGRI URKH," created by Mongolian artist Chadraabal Adiyabazar. Chadraabal is at the forefront of contemporary art in Mongolia, a region where this form of expression is blossoming.

This sculpture, expansive at 350x530x310cm, was crafted for the commemoration of ACEM-11, a pivotal international event hosted in Ulaanbaatar in 2016. "TENGRI URKH" bears a powerful message—etched with the signatures of leaders from 53 nations—as a testament against global pollution and a call to action for climate change.

Today, this masterpiece graces Ulaanbaatar's Central Square Park, a stark and inspiring reminder of our collective responsibility to our environment. Chadraabal’s sculpture is not only a stunning visual feat but also a poignant statement on one of the world’s most pressing concerns: climate change. “This sculpture was created to witness the will of all peoples to act against global pollution,” Chadraabal reveals. “Through my art, I strive to evoke deep reflections on the seriousness of pollution, emphasizing that humanity can act swiftly to initiate significant, positive climate change and restore a balance with nature, reviving a ‘Green World’.”
